Once the agent arrives, you will be asked to provide a valid state issued ID. The name on the ID must match the name on the document requiring notarization. The agent will point out to you the name of the document, the important information on the document, and let you know where to sign and date. The Loan Signing Agent will witness you signing your document, and fill out the necessary jurat or acknowledgement. You will also be required to sign the notary public's journal and a thumbprint may be required.
